In industrial automation, one of the most critical parts of the control panel is the interface between the sensor and panel. When a bulkhead connector can not perform its function as intended then the control system is useless. Luckily, we caught this issue during QC and immediately ordered a new one. A $50-80 part with an extended lead time can put the brakes on a $10k job. We have used these connectors countless times over the past years but recently more than a few have arrived DOA. This is unacceptable. Understandably, supply chain issues have impacted all parts of the economy but that is no excuse for poor quality control. We will be phasing out these types of connectors where ever possible in our future projects in place of better quality parts.
